The business of Washington is government. On July 29th, the NYU Stern, Chicago Booth and Columbia Business School Clubs of Washington DC will assemble a panel of high-level NYU Stern, Columbia and Chicago Booth MBAs who work for federal, state and local governments. 
The panel will include 
Former federal government Division Director 
Former Senior Policy Advisor Department of Commerce 
Former Minister Counselor Embassy of Mauritius 
IT Capital Planning Coordinator Department of Commerce 
Special Advisor District of Columbia Department of Transportation 
Director of investments TARP program at the Dept. of Treasury 
Former Ambassador to Brunei Department of State 

Questions addressed include 

(1) After getting an MBA, why did you join the government? 
(2) Do you think that having an MBA provides you an advantage in the type of work you do for the government? 
(3) What impact do you think that working for the government will have on your career? 
(4) What advice would you give for someone seeking a job with the government, and is there any other advice you can provide about working for the government?

We will provide hamburgers, hotdogs, non-alcoholic beverages, chips, condiments, utensils and all the other ingredients necessary for a good time
We request that families with last names ending in A-M bring a salad to share and families with last names ending in N-Z bring a dessert to share. You may also bring bathing suits, suntan lotion, tennis equipment, basketballs, a cooler with ice and any special diet foods. Please note that alcoholic beverages are not allowed.
